Do you purchase comics, collectibles, or cards?
We do not purchase comics, collectibles, or cards. Most items brought in are unlikely to be resellable, and the resale market can be unpredictable. Additionally, we cannot take the risk of handling counterfeit merchandise. We focus on providing high-quality products and experiences for our customers, so we only sell inventory we source ourselves.
Why do you restrict most of your Pokémon products to Play! Pokémon participants?
We understand that not everyone loves purchase requirements, and we truly appreciate the passion around Pokémon releases. That said, Nerdtopia isn’t just a retail storefront — it’s a community built around shared love for the hobby.
We make a conscious choice to offer high-demand Pokémon products at MSRP (or just slightly above) specifically for our community members. In return, we ask for participation and engagement within that community. This helps ensure products go to players, collectors, and families who actively support the space — not just resellers or one-time buyers.
Our goal has always been to protect the experience, keep products accessible to genuine fans, and continue fostering the kind of nerd culture we all care about. We appreciate everyone who chooses to be part of that with us.
